What's New in the
Production Department
Production Director Tracy Mailloux

So long 2007… Hello 2008? Wait a minute, this can’t be right. Just yesterday I was running around in shorts, and now I am ready to slap on a pair of skis and hit the slopes. This just can’t be.

Time sure flies when you are an adult, especially this time of year. There seems to be a shortage of it (especially when it comes to buying gifts before the holidays). However, I remember when I was a kid that Christmas just couldn’t get here quick enough. In addition, I could write a novel about what new toys I wanted. Nowadays, the most exciting thing on my list is socks.

Well, enough ranting, let’s get to the raving. Things are looking good in the video department. We seem to have more work then we know what to do with. Currently we are working on some safety and promotional videos. We have been busy shooting and editing every day of the week. We are also currently working on some new TV spots for Western Dakota Tech, so be on the look out for these in January. As for the first quarter, our plates are filling up with projects for the Sturgis Rally and the BH Stock Show.

Our part-timer Aaron is back from his backpacking adventure around Spain. He met many people, saw many sights, and loved every step of the way. He strongly recommends that everyone get a chance to do a quest this epic. Aaron will be back working with us up until March before he heads to Portland, Oregon to go back to school for another degree.

My assistant Jack Sitch has been with us for 3 months now, and has exceeded my expectations. He never shies from a challenge, and is one of the hardest workers I know. What else can I say, but I am glad to have Jack be a part of the RSA team.

For this quarter’s newsletter, I had a hard time deciding which spots to post. One of them I decided to go with is Fuddruckers’. Steve and Mary at Fuddruckers have been with RSA for sometime now, and this year was their 10th year in business -- kudos to them on their successes. I also decided to post the PSA spot for the Reptile Gardens Jingle in the Jungle. This was the fifth year Reptile Gardens decorated their Sky Dome for the Holiday Season, and collected cans of food for the Food Drive. New this year they had Santa Claus! All of the proceeds from the pictures taken with Santa went to the Children’s Home Society and Children’s Care Hospital.

To wrap up my portion of the newsletter, I just want to wish the very best to all in 2008.
